Sheree Roberts

My 35 years as a visual art teacher was exciting, hard but very enjoyable. I trained at Newcastle Art School and CEA in the 70s which prepared me with the love of all the arts and skills in painting, drawing, printing, sculpture, ceramics and photography.

Today my work centres around painting and sculpture in mixed media and found objects. I have had three successful exhibitions in Armidale, NSW.

This quote by Pablo Picasso sums up my philosophy about art… “Every child is an artist. The problem is staying an artist when you grow up”… which to me indicated that art is about play, observation, discovery, fun, joy, learning, concentration, passion, excitement and magic. Without ART our eARTh would be just eh.
