Art is a most expressive medium that can bring story and communication alive. For me words are just that, a powerful artwork can fire up the mind in such amazing way. Art reaches a level of complexity that words may just fail to truly capture. If my artwork brings you joy or you connect with it in a strong way, let it be that.

Many factors go into any artwork, though you may be interested to know that Gavin is a Awabakal Dharug Man. I have a strong drive to pay things forward to the next generation, the country that will be around once we are long gone is vital.

Gavin is on the Autism spectrum. Art has been a freedom that once it has started, truly it is just a huge energy flow. I have been able to communicate in ways with my art that is just not possible for me in any other way. Once I realised this I just had to keep painting and creating, I felt that I could fully express myself for the first time. As you may know, people on the spectrum may have interests that are of huge focus for them, art for me is this. It makes me happy and allows my brain to work in wonderful ways. If you are lucky enough to have a brain that can do remarkable things, embrace it.
